Graduated in 1992 with a B.Eng (Hons) degree in Electrical Engineering from Southampton University in the UK. Has worked in the mining industry in power distribution and protection systems, plant electrical systems, supervision, planning and management. Has worked in the construction industry as both project engineer and project manager at different stages. Areas covered include power transmission and distribution, water pumping, process plants and building services among others.
